This advanced-level course is designed for technicians who want to work independently on real-world problems. You will learn how to diagnose complex errors, recover bricked control units, and rebuild ECU/TCU files through hands-on cases.

Prerequisites

• Basic knowledge of automotive electronics and control units

Course Objectives

• Analyze and interpret binary files
• Extract and manage immobilizer data
• Handle software incompatibilities and critical errors
• Restore bricked or damaged control units
• Rebuild original and corrupted files
• Identify map areas to transfer modifications between original and modified files
• Understand the basics of StageX software and use it to support ECU/TCU file analysis and management (AI solutions)

Control Unit Recovery and Immobilizer Management

• Recovery strategies for bricked control units
• Use of Boot, Bench, and OBD modes during recovery
• Extraction of immobilizer data: ISN, VIN, PIN, PSW from files
• ECU/TCU synchronization
• Recovery of bricked Marelli units in service mode
• Analysis of synchronization errors (e.g., Volvo CEM / ECU)
• Issues on EDC16, EDC17, PCR2.1, DQ250 control units

StageX Remapping Software

• Introduction to StageX software
• Project creation and file management
• Mappack analysis
• Application of AI solutions and package creation
• Identification, management, and removal of DTCs

At the end of the course, you will be able to independently handle complex ECU and TCU issues, working on files, errors, and bricked or damaged control units. You will have a clear and practical workflow to effectively manage real-world cases in a structured way.
